When my kids were in the NICU, I was back and forth to the hospital non stop. I would wait til everyone is home and send either food or a g.c. for a restaurant or something like that. Or maybe send something when the wife is discharged so they have food when they are home.
Someone send us stuff from the bagel store...bagels, cream cheese, salads etc. and we ate it for days. It was good to not have to think about it.

I could not agree more! GCs and family & friends bringing stuff over was such a life saver!!!! My DD was in the NICU for over a month. I went from E. Northport to Manhasset every single day! It was so nice not to worry about food.
