Pre-school registration for 2011/2012 school year already?

I just received an e-mail from my son's pre-school that next week they are sending out registration info. for the 2011/2012 school year. I thought I had until after the holidays. I want to look into other schools for next year. When I signed him up for the 3 yr. old program the spots closed within a few days. Ugghhh...

Always. DD's school starts now for registration and books up by January. And DS's started last week.

Thank God for Joenick when DS was 2 because I would have missed out on preschool for him. I had no idea it started so early.

I dont know what to do now because the other school I was interested in doesnt have open house until January. I told them the situation and asked to come in earlier for a tour and find out about the program and they said no. I know the spots at his current school go quick and I would hate to lose my deposit

Our nursery school did it last month as well. I was so surprised to see it on the calendar. I think programs with a 2 year old program might want to get an idea of registration for the next year's three year old program.
