Prednisone effects on baby
Ugg I googled and I want to puke...does anyone know how bad it is, im on 20 mg 2 times a day...IM so worried now I read it can cause cleft pallete or other defects!!!

Try not to make yourself sick over this. I know plenty of people who did not know they were pregnant in the early stages because they were not planning like we are and took things much worse then that. They all have healthy babies just like yours will be I serious, don't stress this, it will only make you upset for nothing.

STOP GOOGLING!!!!!!!! I'm sure your doctor prescribed for you to take this and he knows what he's/she's doing! I used to google every single little thing and I used to drive myself nuts!!! Please don't do that to yourself and stay away from Dr Google!

Prednisone does not penetrate the placenta. And as far as the cleft palate, the perinatologist at LIJ told me they have only seen that in a few studies with animals. Dr B has prescribed prednisone to many women with no problems. You probably won't even be on it much longer. I was taking 10mg 2x daily until 14 weeks. Try not to stress over it. I worry a lot about everything but this was something I completed trusted Dr B on

I spoke with Dr B and he reassured me I will be fine!!! Just got nervous-ill be a mess till this baby comes out though!!!
