Pregnancy and Infant Loss Rememberance Day

Congressional Help Needed to make October 15th PILRD


Congressman Tom Latham of Iowa, as of, July 27th 2005, has introduced a Resolution supporting the Goals and Ideals of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, October 15th, and calling on the President to issue a proclamation encouraging the American people to honor this day.

House Concurrent Resolution # 222

We are asking that EVERYONE to contact their Congressman/Congresswoman or Representative in Washington D.C. immediately and request that he/she Co-Sponsor this House Resolution.

Emails, Faxes and Phone Calls are the best way to get in contact. Regular mail can take months to get to the proper location.

You can get your Congressman's information by going to

www.house.gov and typing in your zip code.

The most effective way to get a Congressman/Congresswoman or Representative's Member's attention is of course to meet or speak with him/her directly, in their home districts. I would also suggest that you contact each House delegation member's Washington office (from your state) and ask to speak with the Congressman's/Congresswoman's "health aide", and briefly explain the resolution and request that their Member sign on as a cosponsor. They can send the health aide a copy of the resolution and of Congressman Latham's letter on the subject if needed.

It is extremely important that we get EVERY Congressman/Congresswoman to co-sponsor our Resolution. Please help make this happen by faxing, emailing and most importantly, MAKE THAT PHONE CALL !!!

Remember, Your Congressman/Cogresswoman is Elected !!!

He/She wants your Vote !!!

If you have free long distance on your phone and you are passionate about helping to get this done. Then call every Congressman/Congresswoman you can to ask for him/her to co-sponsor.

Emailing is free. Take the time to email every Congressman/Congresswoman that you can, especially the one in your District.

I plan to keep an updated list of all Co-Sponsors of this resolution here on the website. As soon as sponsors begin rolling in, I will update the list every evening.
