pregnancy care at Preferred Women's Health
Hi,
I'm currently TTC #3 and last year went to see Dr Prince at Preferred Women's Health for an annual visit. He was very nice and I liked him.
Now I am ttc, when I do get pregnant, can anyone give details about what happens at this office?
Where is the 20 week ultrasound done? When do you get the first ultrasound etc.
Just getting a bit anxious, but feeling good about this cycle!
Thanks for any info anyone can provide!

Re: pregnancy care at Preferred Women's Health
All ultrasounds are done in their Great Neck office. I believe depending on your insurance depends on your first ultrasound, some allow it at your 7 wk appt. My insurance I had to wait till my 12 week appt. For all ultrasound appts I would always go to Great Neck and see the dr after. For non ultrasound, I would go to Woodbury. FM me if you have any questions.

Re: pregnancy care at Preferred Women's Health
i just started with this office myself and ive seen dr.prince aslo...ive only been to the woodbury office and they did an ultrasound there at 7 weeks and i go back at 9 weeks for another ultrasound and for a regular ob visit since my first appoinment i was earlier in my pregnancy than i thought
now that im thinkin about it this may sound silly but i knowi had an internal sonogram done at the woodbury office..is that the same as an ultrasound?

Re: pregnancy care at Preferred Women's Health
thank you both.
When I was pg with my two children I saw an OB in the city close to my office and always got a quick ultrasound at each visit and it really helped with my miscarriage anxiety. I just don't want to do to a practice where its only one at 20 weeks.
The woodbury office is closer to me but some trips to great neck are fine too.
Which dr's do you think there.
- Yes, a that sounds like an ultrasound.

Re: pregnancy care at Preferred Women's Health
Dr. Prince delivered DS#1(he was on call the day my water broke) and he was AMAZING! My primary Dr. there is Morris-Rush and I LOVE her! She'll be delivering DS#2 next week!!! Honestly all of the Dr.'s are fantastic!
I go to the Woodbury office for the routine appointments and in the beginning they will give you regular sono's at the Woodbury office. The more in depth sonos are done at Great Neck and are given at 12, 20 and 32 weeks.
If you have any questions please feel free to FM! Good Luck!!

Crashing to say...I've been seeing Dr. Prince for 11 years and really love him and the practice. Dr. Marshbien delivered DD last year and although I thought he was my least fave in the practice.... he ended up being fantastic!! As others have stated the sono tech is at their great neck office. Good luck!

Re: pregnancy care at Preferred Women's Health
I'm extremely happy with all the doctors in the practice, but my two favorites are Dr. Morris-Rush and Dr. Prince. Rush is my OB and Prince delivered DD..they are both great!!
I usually go to Woodbury for most of the appt's. Great Neck has the sono tech so for your level II & growth sono you go to that office.
