pregnancy stupid....
ok so i'm way new to all this and i have no idea what anything means. i'm probably around 4 weeks and i had blood work last week, went today to re-test. the results from last week were 1349, i'll have todays results tomorrow.
the nurse showed me some chart and i fit in between 4 & 5 weeks. is this a good number? i don't even know what it means

The number should double (or close too) everyday. It doesn't really matter what the number is so much. It just matters that it doubles. That # is the amount of hormone the baby makes. When it doubles it means the baby is growing appropriately.
I had a bad pregnancy prior to this one. At 5 weeks I was at 68. The next day 74. From these numbers they were able to tell me the pregnancy would not be viable.

well first of all i'm sorry you went through all that
but this info totally helps me. so tomorrow when i call the dr, this 1394 should have gone up considerably?

Congratulations!!!!!!!!
When I went in for a BT to confirm my HPT the # was 42,100 -- that's the only # I ever got.
She said I was between 6 & 8 weeks according to that # but I was closer to 6 weeks as it turns out based on my first sonogram when the baby measured 8 weeks exactly.

ok so i had my 2nd blood test yesterday and just got the results.
last thursday i was at 1349
yesterday i was at 4826
the nurse said i was in good shape!!!

According to THIS SITE your doubling time is 2.17 days. They say that beta doubles approximately every 2 days for the first four weeks of pregnancy. As pregnancy progresses the doubling time increases. By 6 to 7 weeks gestation beta hCG levels may take as long as 3 1/2 days to double.
So you are definitely in good shape !!
