Pregnant and my OB doesn't deliver
Hi, I just found out I was pregnant this weekend. It was kind of a shocker, we weren't really trying and had one moment of weakness.
As I am still getting over the initial shock, I decided to call my OB/GYN this morning and apparently the practice doesn't deliver anymore.
Now I need to find a new one.
Any recommendations? I am in Commack/Northport area and am willing to go further west then east.

Without a doubt Dr. Trivedi. I cant say enough great things about him.

Doesn't your OB have a list of MD's he/she recommends??
And don't tell me, let me guess . . . the practice is Suffolk OB/GYN in East Northport & Huntington???

Yes, you are right. What annoys me is I was there 7 mths ago and she never mentioned this to me and I discussed pregnancy with her and a medical condition I have.
They will suggest, only after I come and do a sonogram confirmation. I would rather just find someone else. I would only assume the new OB would make me do a sonogram as well so why waste my time.

In their defense, 7 months ago they didn't know they were going to stop doing OB. There were a few of us on this board that were waaaay into our pregnancies that flipped when this happened in July.
As for wanting to confirm PG before making a referral - just go. Any opportunity to see the baby growing inside you is not a waste of time.

I used WGM (Dr. Wagner and Dr. Elsa Singer, specifically).
Singer moved to Huntington Medical Group so I'm following her there. Number is (631) 425-2218
