I have not been pregnant before, but I would venture to say that a one piece, empire waist gown might be your best bet. JMO! I'm sure though you'll look so cute!

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid Question - slightly long
I'm going to be in a wedding about 2 months after my due date (who knows when I'll deliver). I had to pick out the dress the other day and the woman at the salon suggested a two-piece dress with an A-line skirt. The material had to be satin, otherwise I would have tried a flowy empire waist dress....
good luck!

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid Question - slightly long
Depending on your body type pre preggo at 22 weeks and since this is your first baby, you may not be showing or have even gained too much weight. I was in the same situation as you as I was in my brothers wedding at 21 weeks pregnant. I was preggo with #2 and ordered one size up and it worked out fine. At that point, I didn't have much of a belly, just a thick waist. So as someone else responded and empire waist dress would be a good suggestion or just make sure you order a size or two up on a regular dress. You can always take it in.
Here is the dress we wore when I was 22 weeks...

Re: Pregnant Bridesmaid Question - slightly long
I think it really depends on the dress. I was in a wedding @ 33 weeks and I never thought in a million years my dress would look nice on me...We all wore the same thing (non-maternity, of course): strapless, tea length, big sash around the waist, purple...it seemed like a nightmare! It turned out pretty nice and I was very comfortable in it. I ordered a size 16 and I believe my normal size would have been 8-10.
Here's me...
