pregnant in bikini? Yay or Nay?
I am leaving for my babymoon tonight and ofcourse i waited till the last minute to try on my bathing suits, i guess i didnt realize how big i was until yesterday when i started trying on my summer skirts, forget it, not one of them fit  (im 23 weeks)lol so what did i expect??? but i dont feel huge. thank goodness i have summer dresses so thats all im taking.
Now here is my ? I tried on my 2 piece bathing suits and im like jeeez,,, can i go on the beach like this? Is this too tacky? Im kind of debating if my stomach looks like its really a preggo belly or if i look really bloated  when i told my mom that im planning on wearing my bikinis, she went  and said you're not going to cover it up??? I mean I am taking halter tops and tshirts so I can cover it up but just wondering is it tacky??? I always thought it was cute when I saw pregnant women at the beach in their bikinis.
What do you all think????

I think it is adorable when pregnant women show off their belly. It's more flattering too because you can really see the woman's shape. I hate overflowing, huge, cover up maternity clothes that make you look bigger than you are! I can guarantee I'll be rocking a bikini this summer - go for it if you feel comfortable!!

i know and maybe my mom is old fashioned because when she was pregnant with me she wore big dresses and all that and they didnt have that much cute maternity clothes back then, so whenever i wear something form fitting shes like omg youre not embarrassed to wear that? i say no, i didnt gain weight anywhere else but my belly so why should i?

I think as long as you are comfortable in it, then wear it! I tried mine on last weekend & realized I could get away with them but I opted to get at least one tankini just in case I get more self conscious as time goes on.....

I have mixed feelings. If a woman has a nice prego belly, then go for it. But once I saw a women who was overweight and prego and it was not pretty.
I am an overweight prego and would never do it. But if I had one of those cute prego bellies, I totally would!!!

I just got back from my babymoon and wore a bikini every day! Several different women came up to me and said that it was the cutest thing and they loved how I wasn't covering my belly!  Absolutely wear them if you feel comfortable!

I'm not a bikini person, but I think if you feel comfy in a two piece why not? I think some pregnant women look really cute in two piece bathing suits. My mom would react the same way as yours did. She doesn't understand how some pregnant women wear tight fitting t-shirts, so I don't think she'd be in favor of a bikini either.

My mom had the same reaction to bikinins when I was pregnant with my son. I even went out and bought 2 tankinins, and you know what... I NEVER wore them! I rocked a bikini the entire time. I was so much more comfortable.

Personally, FOR ME, I am more "old fashioned" and am not a huge fan of it or tight fitting maternity wear. Call me an old fart! 
However, my current body problem is below the belly (my thighs/***) so I'd have an issue in any type of bathing suit (and that's even before being pg).
If I was away on vacation, it's possible I would consider long board shorts and a bikini top but mostly to get the big white belly tan!!
And just thinking about it, I don't know if DH would be comfortable with me in a bikini so if I was thinking about it, I'd see what he thought (not that his opinion would be the be all and end all but I'd take into consideration how he felt).

ITA - my best friend could wear a bikini pre-pregnancy, no problem. When she was pregnant, she still looked great and wore a bikini. I wasn't pregnant during the summer, so I would have to see how my body would look in a bikini. I think some pregnant women look better than nonpregnant women in bikinis!

I don't like the look, but it isn't tacky its just preference. Even if I had the body ( which I don't right now) , I wouldn't.

In my opinion whether or not you are pregnant the same rules apply. If you (not OP but the general you) are a person who carries only in the belly and the rest of your body looks relatively thin then go for it, otherwise, skip it. If the bikini looks like it is hanging on for dear life I would probably make a different choice. I am all for wearing what flatters one's figure the most - whatever your shape is.

I love bikinis normally, but I'm just not a fan of them on pregnant chicks - JMO. I went out and bought a tankini instead.

That's what I did when I went to Aruba around 25 weeks. I just had a baby bump, but still not 100% comfortable showing my belly. Just me though. There was another pregnant woman on the beach in a bikini and the more power to her. BTW.. I always wore bikinis b4 being pregnant so liked the tankini the best
