Prenatal vit...??
I am taking otc cvs brand prenatal vitamins, and I recently heard that there's a new vit. with omega 3 ( for brain development) that dr's are starting to prescribe. Anyone out there taking it? If not, are you taking otc vits?

i take OTC's. because of the gap between me getting my BFP and the 1st doc appt., i went out and bought the walmart brand, and my doc is totally okies with it.

I think the one you are talking about is the one my doctor prescribed. I take Primacare One. I'm sure they are all good though.

I also take a prescription prenatal that comes with an Omega 3...Citracal. I am a HUGE fan of Omegas!

My doctor said to take OTC prenatals plus a fish oil supplement. The supplement is the same thing as the DHA that helps brain development and is found in prescription prenatals.

I think there are a few with omega 3s in them but I take PrimaCare One also.

Yeah my Dr gave me samples or Primacare one but I noticed it doesnt have any Vit. A in it. And my otc pre-natal vits have more mgs of everything. So I was confussed, wasnt sure if I should continue taking the primacare one

I take Vitafol. It's a blue vitamin. It's relatively easy to swallow and was prescribed by gyn.
Prenatally, I took regular centrum. I stopped once I became pregnant and switched to Vitafol.

Be careful with the vitamin A too much vitamin A is not good during PG.
