Prenate Elite

I am finishing up my last week of pills and I am going to start prenatal vitamins on Sunday (after last pill). We plan on TTC immediately after finishing up with pills. I have heard some things about prenatals...nausea, throwing up, constipation. Anyone experience this with prenate elite? I am going to take them at night before bed like the bcp, I am sure with time my body will get used to it...what were your experiences so I know what to expect? I know everyone is different, but I want some sort of an idea. TIA!!

I have been taking Prenate Elite for the past four weeks and I didn't seem to have any side effects from it at first. But for the past 5-6 days I've been feeling Indigestion, dizziness, cramping, slight nausea. I'm not sure if it's from the vitamins or if I could possibly be pg. I'll let you know in a week or so if it's the vitamins or early pregnancy symptoms.

I never realized you could have all of those side effects from taking prenatal vitamins. Anyway, the vitamins are not bad at all, at least for me, the side effects are certainly tolerable. Good Luck! and

There are several prenatal vitamins out there, you can also ask your dr what they recommend
my dr said prenate elite, duet or even citracal which is OTC
I think in terms of side effects everyone is different but def some pills can lead to nauseas, etc....

Yeah my Dr. prescribed me prenate elite severeal months ago, and I didn't eve know there were different kinds/brands at that point so I took the script. I am sure it will be fine once I start them, I just wanted a heads up for some things to expect...if anything! I trust that he knew what he was doing in prescribing them. Thank you though! Prenate Elite is great! I used them for both of my PG's and for 2 years in between. I was always able to take them whenever and with or without food and never had a side effect. They're the only one's I'll take! The only thing is that with my insurance they're $30 per month.

I have been taking them for over a year and no problems!!!!!!!! I take them at night with milk. The only think it has a funny after taste if you burp after taking them...TMI sorry.

My dr. prescribed these for me when I first got pg. I did not like them. The week I took them I kept waking up in the middle of the night with a horrible stomach ache - they have a stool softener/or laxative in them which I think was the problem.

I then switched to Duet Dha Prenatals and have had ZERO problems since- been taking them now for 9 mos!

But, that said, everyone's body is different - you have to find what works best for you!

I took Prenate Elite my entire pregnancy with no side effects at all. I just got a prescription for them for when we are TTC
