preparing for winter for baby- is it better to have a one piece snowsuit or separate winter coat and snowpants.
I don't know if I should get a bundle me, snowpants, a snowsuit or all of the above.
I got DS a coat already - one of those nautica baby ones. Not sure if that is warm enough.

I just got DS a wintercoat, like a ski jacket so it's super warm, and I'll use a bundle me for the stroller. He's 7 1/2 months now....he would never sit still long enough for me to put him in a snowsuit.

That was the one I was planning to buy.

2 years ago, DS was 6 months at Christmas time. He had a super cute bunt outfit. It was warm and practical.
I only got him his first Winter coat when he was 1.5 yo.

Im going to get DS a winter coat and a couple of Fleeces. I can't imagine trying to get him in a one piece snowsuit. He wont even wear one piece jammies. I have blankets in the car.

Kaydyn turned 1 in January. We didn't get a snow suit for her. We knew, not walking, that she wouldn't be out in the snow much.
To go from the house to the car in the winter we just got her a fleece coat and wrapped her in the blanket. I didn't want anything that interferes with the car seat but I wanted her to be warm enough.
This year I got a winter coat and will get snow pants. I feel like now that she is walking she will be outside more and want to play around.

Yup, I got it in the toddler size. DS is already too long for the infant one.

If your baby isn't walking and won't be playing in the snow I would say a light fleece jacket and the bundle me or warm blankets.

Unless you are planning to be outside a lot, or the baby will be sitting in the snow, then all of that is a waste in my opinion - someone gave me a winter coat and a snowsuit, both of which he wore one time. If you plan on doing little else but going in and out of the car to an inside place, you are better off getting a jacket, and layer your baby, with some warm fleece pants.... Save your money for when he is a toddler and will want to spend more time outside playing...

I agree with this. DS was 6 months in December. If DC will be in the infant carrier for most of the times you leave the house, then the bundle me (if you are using that) and a fleece one piece with feet is plenty (over regular clothes). DC #2 is due in March and I just bought the carters light fleece one piece. I went crazy looking for it because I knew they see out pretty quickly.

I plan on buying a coat/jacket for Abby. No snow suit. I MIGHT buy her snow pants for those few times she will be in the snow. I just feel that a snow suit is restrictive around the torso area and will inhibit her movement. I want her to have a better range of motion.
