Re: Preschool (or toddler) book recommendations
We read a lot of Dr Seuss books. We probably have about 50 of them.

My DS is only 2.5 so I can't help for the 4yo but my son likes The Little Blue Truck. There is also a Little Blue Truck goes to the city book.
Your 4 yo may like it.
Oh, we also have Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site. May be good for a 4 year old too.

Mo Willems books for sure! I always give them as gifts and every single time I get the parents calling and saying that they LOVE them.
My girls adore the Elephant and Piggie ones. They don't look like much, but I swear they are such fun to read!

Re: Preschool (or toddler) book recommendations
I have girls and they seem to be into really girly books. But, I like to take them to the store and pick out books together. Once they are hooked on a series/author, I buy more of those.

Re: Preschool (or toddler) book recommendations
DS is 4 almost 5 and DD is 2 almost 3. We have been reading some longer books and chapter books: Dr Seuss Fancy Nancy (Super Sleuth) Flat Stanley Judy Moody and Stink (Mad Mad Mad Treasure Hunt, and some of the Stink series of books - we just finished the stinky sneakers one). Click Clack Moo Pinkalicious (for DD) Lego books (they look like lego cartoons)
