price comparisons on diapers, wipes, formula, etc?
I'm always getting coupons from babies r us for discounts on wipes, formula, diapers, etc. Does anyone know how babies r us prices compares to supermarkets or other stores? I never know if the deals are worth it bc I don't know whether their prices are much higher to begin with. Has anyone looked into this?
Any BTDT moms want to share what they've found in terms of where they've found the best prices for these items?
Thanks

I always get my diapers at BRU. Every few months they have a buy two, save $20, $25 and once even $35! I always use that opportunity to stock up. Its much cheaper than any other place I have been too when we get those sales. For formula target is the cheapest for us so we go there.
Wanted to add we use pampers. I have heard traget brand diapers are good and those would definitely be cheaper. It all depends on what brands you use.

Honestly I've found that Target and Walmart has the best prices on diapers, wipes etc. You'll get good prices at supermarkets if you look for sales but their normal prices on baby items are pretty expensive.
side note: The Target store brand (Up & Up) are great, quality items. The Up & Up diapers especially are awesome! I highly recommend them.

Supermarkets will never have the best price on diapers and wipes. I'd only go there in an emergency when the other stores are too far away. I've found Target and BJs have the best prices. Another option is to buy online.

I only buy pampers when BRU is having their big sales, buy 2 boxes get a $20 giftcard, they also offer a VIB (very important baby) program that works as a giftcard you add money to and BRU matches 10% of the amount, you can use the card towards diapers, wipes and formula only. Between their sales and the 10% they give you, it works out the best.

Get them at Walmart, Target or the big box stores (Costco, BJs etc).

Re: price comparisons on diapers, wipes, formula, etc?
i have the babies r us rewards card, and yesterday got an email with coupons one was $3 off any purchase and another was 2 72-count wipes (bru brand) for $3...so i just got 2 packs and it cost me 13cents!
but aside from that, last time i checked (when i registered) the buy buy baby and babies r us prices on diapers were comprable...however if you have the bed bath and beyond coupons for 20% off, it makes sense to purchase at bbbi

For wipes - I find the best prices/value/quality to be the generic brands from Costco. My second favorite is Target.
For diapers - I use the generic from Target. I used to use Pampers and found the best prices on them at BJs.
I sometimes find good deals at hte supermarket based on sales. Also - my supermarket (ShopRite) has a baby bucks program for each $100 you spend on baby goods, you get $10 off a $50 purchase. When DS was on RTF Similac Sensitive, they had the same price per bottle as BJ's (if you bought 4 bottles) and it was a million times more convenient.
BBB or BRU do not take 20% coupons on diapers or wipes - they only take coupons specified for diapers/wipes.

I find BRU doesn't always have the best deals. I would shop around and compare first!

I think bj's has the best deals on diapers and even more so when you use one of their coupons. But even without a coupon they are best price on name brand stuff...

Re: price comparisons on diapers, wipes, formula, etc?
You have to be careful when comparing as each store sells a different quantity for a different amount.
For example, a case of Size 1 Swaddlers at BJs is 210 diapers but at BRU, it's 234.
I made a little excel spreadsheet that calculates cost per diaper. I key in when I have coupons.
I've only purchased a few diapers since DD is so young, but I'm hoping to use this system going forward.

I found Wamart and Target are the cheapest for formula. Last week, if you spent a certain amount, Target gave you a $10 gift card.
Last week, King Kullen had a sale on Similac- same price as Wal/Targ!!!!!!!
