Price Limit on Self Assemble Furniture
What price limit would you expect on furniture that you need to assemble yourself? I am looking for a TV stand for a 46in and have been finding basic pieces that $350 and up that need assembly . These are just base units. Is it just me or are these prices out of line?

$200 is my limit
I am so over self assemble furniture
I have some peices from crate and barrel that are good
my computer desk from Ikea is crap

I hate ikea - tried it twice, both times pieces were missing.
However, I find C&B self assembly furniture to be pretty decent quality.

and easy to put together- logical
I only bought a desk at ikea b/c I was limited on size- and it was such a mistake
I don't think it's going to make a year

After the debacle I had last weekend with a piece of C&B self assemble furniture....I will not go over $150 from now on.
It's a great piece, good quality, but a major PITA to put together. Took three people 3 hours to put together.

i think it depends on what you're looking to buy, though i will say that i've recently seen a few pieces in ikea that are considering it's self-assembly and not the greatest quality.
