Price to replace windows and install CAC?
We are looking to replace our windows and install CAC. Any ideas on how much this will cost?

You can typically do a 1 zone CAC system for around 9-12k.

How many floors, square footage, # of windows, specialty-type windows (bay, bow, etc), double-paned, argon, low-E windows or cheaper windows?

Not really. CAC prices depend on so many factors. There really isnt just a ballpark.......since you dont know what size unit you will need, amount of ductwork, etc. etc.
Same goes for windows....what size windows? How many windows.....etc. etc.

we just got a new CAC/Heating Pump system installed in our condo (since our CAC went). It was $4100 from Sears w/extended warranities, etc. We already had the ductwork, so I'm sure for you it would be more.

Ahhh! lots of questions!  A 1-floor ranch (so probably 1-zone air, no ducts already there), 8 or 10 windows maybe? i am trying to count in my head but may be missing some.
