Primary Care Doctor
Can anyone recommend their general practice doctor in the Nassau area. Preferably no further than Garden City. (I have excellent specialist, but I have been unable to find a good general practitioner). TIA.

I go to Dr. Berbari (sp). I'll have to get you the correct spelling. He's affiliated with Winthrop. I picked him because he's in charge of a few programs. I figured that if he's given that much responsibility he must be good.
I've only gone to him once for a yearly checkup but the practice is very good. When you're sick they make it possible for someone to see you right away. It may not be your desiginated doctor but at least you get help when you really are sick. I have also been very happy with the referrals he has given me. Dermatoligist & allergy specialist. I'll get his number tomorrow.

My doc is in Bellmore. I can't say enough great things about him. he is one of those docs who will never be rich because he cares about his patients and doesn't care about the money.
He is truly talented and the best diagnostian. I couldn't live without him. After you meet him you will know what I mean. I have been his patient for 15 years and he has been my family physician for longer.

I see Dr. Deborah McBane and her partner is Dr. Philip F. Spadafora....I really like both of them and they are great with appointments.

my sister goes to dr. mcbane too! she loves her!
i go to dr. angela mitrani schwartz at 222 station plaza, mineola. she's winthrop affiliated and i love her! her # is 516-663-2051.
