Primary Dr or Walk In Recommendations?

I just called my ob bc my "cold" is getting progressively worse and they told me to go see my primary dr. asap...but I don't really have one. I left a message at the old place I went to but they are very far away and not calling back

Do you think I can go to a walk in place? Does anyone know of any in the suffolk area? Or of a Dr. that will see me today?

My DH has been to STAT health in Smithtown, and they were pretty good.
It will be hard to find a PCP that will take a new pt the same day.

I would just call a few that take your coverage. Tell them you're pregnant. Most times, you get a free pass. A lot of PCP's make you take a physical for the first exam but I would try anyway. I'm very convincing.

I'm surprised the OB wouldn't see you and give you a script for a z-pak. I have a primary in Massapequa. Who is OK, but I doubt they would take a new patient the same day as a sick visit.

Awwww mama! Im in the same boat as you. I dont have a primary because I got new insurance and Im sick too I have an OB appointment at 3 so Im praying that he'll write me script for antibiotics when Im there. Maybe call your OB back and tell them your situation. Feel better

There is a walk-in place in Holbrook called First Choice Medical, which I have used before for strep tests/etc.
