Prime Restaurant in Huntington
Has anyone eaten at Prime in Huntington before? How is the food? What are the prices like for brunch? Apparently it's ala carte from the menu and not one price per person. We'd like to take our family out for brunch there. It looks like a really nice place on the water.

My brother works there and tells us how absolutely amazing it is. I haven't gotten there myself...but supposedly it's great!

I haven't been there myself, but have heard good things. They are owned by the same people who own Teller's, so how bad could it be?

Re: Prime Restaurant in Huntington
I went to a wedding at the Harbor Club and we went in there (old COCO's) just to see what it looked liked and it was FABULOUS. We never ate but the view and the way they redid it, was great.

Re: Prime Restaurant in Huntington
I have heard its very good but pretty pricey even for a steakhouse and it can be very noisy

Re: Prime Restaurant in Huntington
We wanted to go this past Saturday for lunch but when we got their around 2:15 they told us they were closed for lunch so I suggest getting their around noon or make reservations. It looks beautiful inside.

Re: Prime Restaurant in Huntington
We have eaten there and it was fantastic... You don't have to have steak--I had the Dover sole and it was great, my husband had a steak which he said was really good.. Yes, it is expensive but just as expensive as going to Blackstone and to me that was really over priced for a steakhouse and not that good...
Everyone has different tastes...

Re: Prime Restaurant in Huntington
i went prior to opening and my parents went right after opening
they did a great job decorating the inside and the fish is very good, everyone liked there steak too - it is an interesting menu - has a few sushi dishes too that are good - prices are expensive but not that bad (but i may be jaded i liove in downtown boston) though and service was a little slow but that probably got better - we were the week before opening an dthe second day it opened
I want to see how the patio turned out

Re: Prime Restaurant in Huntington
I've been there for dinner and drinks a number of times and my sis and her FH are regulars (they even request their fav waiter ).
I believe offering brunch is fairly new to the restaurant. My sister and her FH enjoyed it. We don't do brunch, so we haven't tried it.
Their food is good (nothing I get excited over), but I find their service to be mediocre. We basically go there for the atmosphere.
The outdoor deck & patio is beautiful. Very well done! I've only eaten out there at night, but I would imagine brunch would be very enjoyeable.
You can count on dinner starting at $75 a head and my sister said brunch runs them about $50 a head.

Re: Prime Restaurant in Huntington
Thanks Chatham. Sounds like it's a good place. We'll keep it as one of the options. Another place that looked nice was the Pine Island Grill in Bayville. It's part of the Crescent Beach Club. I wonder how the food is there. Looks like a nice atmosphere for brunch.
