My carseats are still in the boxes. You can get reviews on Consumer Reports and in the Baby Bargains books.
We got the Graco Snugride snap & go - comes with the Metrolite Travel System. It got great reviews but as I say we haven't even opened the boxes yet....

Re: Primo Viaggio Car Seat
I have that car seat as an infant seat, but I've had it since 2003 when I was PG with my first. Bot my kids outgrew it by 4-5 months. I found it to be very narrow, they seemed smooshed. The design may have changed, so I can't speak for the ones out now, but that's something to keep in mind.

We got the same, Graco Snugride with the Metrolite stroller. I LOVE the stroller, it moves really nicely. The carrier is awkward, but not for DH, I think I just need to get used to it. I am still pretty weak, but getting it in and out of the car is easy.

Re: Primo Viaggio Car Seat
I had that one for DS and DD will be using again soon. I liked it but felt like the seat wasn't reclined enough when it was in the base and I aslo felt the material was a little rough. I do not know if they changed the material for the 2007 models (mine is 2006). I also used mine as a travel system with the Peg Pliko P3 so check and see if the stroller you plan on using can accomidate the carseat. It's not a big deal if it doesn't just makes life a little easier. If it doesnt you can always get the Baby Trend snap and go to use while the baby is still in the carrier.
Also for other opinions I am addicted to epinions.com. You just type in exactly what you are looking for and it gives you reviews from other parents (for baby products) and also babyga-ga.com is great for comparasions.

I have this car seat. I love it. the girls are 6.5 months and still in it. They are about 17 pounds and 26 in long and are fine. They are definitely getting heavy, but I don't want to switch them out yet, too convenient.

I had the same experience w/ DD. She was out of the '04 model by 4 months! Next time around I will pick up a Graco.

Re: Primo Viaggio Car Seat
This seat got great reviews, but I think the only reason Graco's snugride & safeseat got better reviews is because its a bit lighter and easier to maneuver.

Did you end up getting another car seat? If so which one?
