Princess Chunk is a really a Prince Chunk and was a victim of foreclosure
Not happy he was let out on the street but at least they are getting tons of calls about adopting the poor baby!

Well it sounds like he will get a good home. Hopefully his new owners can get him to a healthy weight.
Why can't more shelter animlals get this kind of publicity? I'm sure there are a lots of animals in shelters who are vicitms of foreclosure.

I thought the SAME thing. If they are getting 15 calls a day on Chunk, what about the other pets who need homes???

I thought the same thing when I read that. I'm also really angry that the owner felt they had NO OTHER OPTION than to let the poor thing wander the streets.

He was on Regis & Kelly this morning.
I thought they said it was an elderly woman who was his owner (not that it's an excuse but you could understand maybe it being a tougher situation).

How the heck did he get so big??? This is not normal?? Why did she just let him out and abandon him? She could have called a shelter? Am I missing something?

why couldnt she just bring it to a shelter???
Its sad , how big he is that his body must have swallowed up his peeps and they thought he was a girl!
Poor kitty - it looks like they will find him a good home

ITA. I agree, about his privates. So sad.
Maybe she figured or knew a shelter would not have taken him? Either way, it's not an excuse. He obviously could not fend for himself, being a house cat and that size...

it's shocking that she had this cat for 10 years, and then just let him out on the street. she could have left him in a cat box in front of a shelter , he would have been better off than just wandering the street
on another note, he is really cute though !

I just saw this and I 
A male cat's private parts are actually hidden from sight. We had a cat for YEARS that we believed to be a girl...and then one day we saw him licking his...yeah.
If he was fixed, it would be REALLY hard to tell if he was male or female because the scrotum is the only visible part, and it would have shriveled up and disappeared.
