Ok I just realized that Namoi is not the same actress they started with back in the spring. the actress that use to paly her was the woman from "King of Queen" I think her name was Kelly, se was Deacons wife.

Yeah I heard that - they switched actresses -
I think they are making a mistake by not puting Private Practice back to back with Grey's Anatomy - I think the same people will tune in to both shows but some might not plan to watch PP on a different night.

It's still a little choppy, but I see the potential.
I'm not loving the Amy Brenneman character and I wish they kept the original Naomi.
Also hating the chief of staff, but I guess they needed a "villian".
I like the pediatrician. I love looking at Taye Diggs.
And I cried when the woman at the store broke down.

I thought it was okay. I definitely think they should keep the original actress that played Noami. I will watch for a few more weeks and see if it gets better. So excited for Greys tonight

I just thought it was ehh. I liked the "old" Addison--strong, confident, take charge. I don't really like her as a neurotic, insecure character.
I mean, she's supposedly a world class neonatal surgeon and she freaks out about doing a C-section?

I don't watch Grey's, but I wanted to give this show a shot because I'm a big fan of Taye Diggs and Audra McDonald, but I could only watch the first few minutes of this show. Couldn't stand it at all. When she was explaining who all of the people were at the top of the show I thought "Who is SHE and why is she telling me all of this?" The exposition was just so boring and not like an actual conversation. And she moves in next to Taye Diggs, having used his realtor and doesn't know? Okay. And why did we have to watch her dance around in her towel/out of her towel for so long?  Sorry, Taye, looks like you're on your 3rd failed series...
ETA: DH didn't buy that her name would be Addison - he says that's a new name and lots of little kids are named that, but no 30-somethings are.

I was disappointed. It was like Adison was a completely different person. The show really does have a lot of potential, but the story line has to get a bit deeper. Hopefully it will, I want so much to love this show.

She was freaking because it wasn't a sterile environment and they weren't in the hospital where she would have all the resources needed if something went wrong, not because of the c-section itself.
Although I still don't understand why as a neonatal surgeon she does ob/gyn stuff.
ETA: DH didn't buy that her name would be Addison - he says that's a new name and lots of little kids are named that, but no 30-somethings are.
I actually think that all the babies and 2 or 3 years olds you see named Addison these days got their names from this character.

repeatedly.
other than that, i'll give it another shot. They need to iron out the kinks, but it was OK. I'm glad they didnt have that teenage mother die... it was a nice break from the miserable story line that Grey's ended off with.
it was better than watching paint dry, i'll give it that.
