Private schools?
A friend of mine is moving to Babylon from out of state & wants to know about resources for Private schools. I know which schools were good back when, but I have no idea how to help her find out the tuition, enrollment process, etc. She has 3 kids, one in Pre-K, one in 4th grade, and one in 7th grade. Is there a resource to find all the info out for her?
TIA

Re: Private schools?
I know that their is St. John's in West Islip, but Babylon has very good schools and the student student to teacher ratio is very good.

Re: Private schools?
Thank you both! I also told her that Babylon is a great SD, but she is all freaked out about her kids going to a LI public school.

she might not be as freaked out when she sees the taxes we pay for that school PLUS private-school tuition!!

Re: Private schools?
She can call the local private schools and they can tell her what they offer.

Re: Private schools?
I also want to add that a lot of private schools have open houses around this time of year, too.

Re: Private schools?
It depends on the ages of her children. My sister just moved from Babylon village and her 7 y.o. daughter went to Our Lady of Lourdes in West Islip. Her 3 y.o. went to St. Joseph's pre-K.
Other private schools she looked into a couple of years ago were: St. Patricks in Bay Shore, St. Mary's in East Islip and St. Joseph's Academy in Brentwood.
For older kids (I think 9-12 grade) there is St. John the Baptist in West Islip (where my DH went) and St. Anthony's in Dix Hills.
