Problem with moms and sonos........need advice and have a ?
I have my level II on 7/12, but my mom will be at her summer house and asked me to wait until she is home to ask MIL to go to a sono so we can all go together.
I told DH and he seemed fine with it.
NOW DH just called me telling me that his mom wanted to know when the next sono was so she could come. He told her about the Level II but that my mom wants to go together.
So now he thinks my mom is being selfish by not being here for it........drama I don't need.
What would you do?
When would the next sono be after a Level II?
I told DH to call the doctor if he wanted a sono schedule so badly....

It depends on the Doctor...... my doctor does growth sonos at 32-33 weeks, whereas some Doctors do not do another sono after the Level II unless your uterus is measuring big or small.....
You could pay to have a 3D one done..Impact Technologies in East Meadow does them... and they reco. having them between 28-32 weeks...

Sometimes there is no sono after your level II. My mother also made a big deal of going to mine. It can be a very sensitive subject.
I would just reschedule it a few days so everyone can make it & fellings will still be intact.Your mom might be acting a little selfish but she's the grandmother too.
It's hard to wait when you're already excited for it but the longer you wait, the more you'll be able to see because the baby is growing everyday.

depending on the doctor, your Level II might be the last one.
Can you reschedule your Level II to make it a few days later?

Some doctors don't do another sono after the level II.
If you want them both there, can you wait to do your level II? When does your mom come back?
If it were me, I'd have both of them there, or none of them there.

I'm sure you don't want to reschedule it, as you're probably really excited! Since they are planning on going, might be the easiest solution since the pp mentioned, your Dr. might not request another one.
Our parents/Mom's never came to any of the sonos. We just wanted that to be us. We did go for the 3D sono when we wanted to make sure baby didn't have a cleft lip.... there is tons of room for the entire family in there, and you get to see more. That might be the best option, suggest that to DH, I think they have a package right now that's $100. (Best $100 we ever spent  )
Sorry there is a little drama.... hopefully, this is the only issue throughout your entire pg.

This is what we did, we wanted it to just be DH and I for the level II so we paid extra and had a 3d sono done (we did it around x-mas and my SIL, sister, BIL, mom, MIL, FIL and my best friend were there), it was so much fun and everyone got to see the baby

First make sure that you can even get another appointment day/time within the timeframe requested by your dr.
If not, you should tell your mom that it is that date or nothing.
I know I had to make my level II a few weeks in advance.

I think I will make an appointment for the 3D/4D so whoever wants to come can.....
