Product Rave: Little Remedies - Honey Elixir
AJ has a nasty cough and raging allergies right now. No fever. Just a icky cough that sort of feeds itself if you know what I mean.. she coughs which causes her to cough more.
So we bought some of this stuff and I have to say she LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES it and always asks for more. We give it every 2-4hrs and it really does stop the cough.
Right now I'm also giving her a homeopathic (sp) cough relief stuff every 4hrs as well but I tried to give that without the honey and even though it helped it didn't really stop the cough. This stuff works!
I know I could just give her honey but this is easier and has some pain relief included I think.
Anyway.. I'm loving it! Really only used it when we need it but the combo of this, the cold/cough remedy and the claritin and she slept soundly from 9pm until 7am when the cough came back.
ETA: I'm pretty sure its allergies since I'm dying too!

Good to know. I bought the Zarbee's honey stuff when it was on sale at Walgreens.

Re: Product Rave: Little Remedies - Honey Elixir
Here's the other stuff she's using, its been great as a sorta kid version of mucinex (my words not the med's)
its loosened up the mucus in her cough since her allergies create a clear liquid cough that she struggles with. This stuff keeps that build up down and I guess you could say since its thinner its swallowed instead of clogging her up.
Thing is with the whole recall drama with those teething tablets its only fair I say it does have Belladonna. However, as a liquid its a heck of a lot more likely to be dead on for measurements than with a powered tablet (as was the claim for the teething tablets that belladonna was inconsistent).
For me.. I just have to say it WORKS!
