Product Rave! My four year is training wheel free!
I bought this balance bike for my two year DS since he hates petaling. My DD wanted to try it so she gave it a go. Two days after learning how to use it, she is now riding her bike training wheel free. My DH and I were blown away! Here is the balance bike we got... I swear, they learn to ride a bike in a few days. Balance Bike

It's crazy- they kind of run with it and get it to a coasting speed and then coast with it. It is amazing watching them learn how to balance. Obviously, it works best on an area with a slight slope or flat land.

For those that are interested in teaching their kids without having to buy the balance bike, all you have to do is lower the seat on your child's bike all the way, remove the training wheels and pedals and have them practice on that.

I like this idea. I'll try this this year.

The guy at the pro bike shop gave me this suggestion and it works beautifully!

I told DH this, after he spent $$$ on a Schwinn balance bike for our DS. He felt stupid going in to return it since he made friends with the owner of the bikeshop that pulled the wool over his eyes, I mean sold, it to him.

I've been using this method, and in only a couple of days, DS has made more progress than 2 years of training wheels!
