Re: progest?

At 7w1d, they tested my progesterone and it was really low so they started me on the suppositories. I had to do it once a day at night. It didnt make a difference this time but my doctor said the next time I get PG he will test the progesterone right away. In this case though, I dont think the progesterone mattered since I had a missed miscarriage ( the babys heart stoped beating)

The progesterone is suppose to keep the lining of the uterus from shedding so if that has been a problem for you in the past, I think the suppositories will help. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Good luck!!

Re: progest?

Have you had any recurrent miscarriage bloodwork done? Progesterone may be the problem, but it might be something else entirely...

Have you been to an RE or recurrent miscarriage specialist yet?

Re: progest?

I took the suppositories when my progesterone was low. My doc didn't think that my body has problems producing it though. so it probably just maintained a not good pregnancy longer then it should have. but if your body isn't producing it on it's own then I say go for it!
