Programmable Thermostats for homes heated with Gas
How much do they cost to install? Can we do it ourselves? We converted to gas last month and they are not programmable and it's really annoying bc I always forget to lower the heat when I leave the house.

They are very easy to install. Just swap the wires from the old thermostat and connect to the new one. It doesn't matter what kind of fuel you are using. The thermostat doesn't know or care.
Home Depot Programmable Thermostats
The ones at HD range from about $35 to about $120. It all depends on what features you want.

We have them in our house with Gas heat and love it. So much easier. It comes up when you want it and goes off when you aren't home. Saves you lots of money if you forget. You can override the program at anytime. We have a touch screen one and if the heat isn't being called for, you just touch the screen and turn up the temp and then it will kick on. DH installed ours.

we installed ours. Easy, 10 minutes.
Doesn't matter how you heat your home.
