Property Brothers
I love this show but I really have to question some of the budget priorities. A couple couldn't get granite counters but spent $3,500 on curtains for one window! I know it really isn't my business what people do with their money but it just seems strange to install a lesser quality counter top (when they wanted granite) and have fancy curtains when they could just put the money towards the granite and get basic curtains that could be replaced when they have more money.

Re: Property Brothers
Totally get what you mean - some of the costs of the things they put in seem wayyy over priced - even things like floors, granite, etc., I sometimes question the reason it's so high. I guess it probably includes their labor?
I also always wonder what happens with the other rooms that are not renovated. most of these homes need a full renovation, but they do like 2-3 rooms and use up their full budget.

I saay the same thing every time I watch the show. The house not just the inside but also the outside usually needs help

I just read a story about this show. They said they actually renovate all the rooms for them but only show the ones the people pay for that fit their budget.

Re: Property Brothers
or a lighting fixture for $1800?! Seriously?
Though, I would LOVE to sell my house and buy a fixer on the Island and have them make it my dream home

I think I know the exact episode you are talking about! My DH was like "HOW MUCH DID THEY SPEND ON THOSE CURTAINS?!?!?!" Too funny.
