proquad (MMR shots amd varicella)-UPDATE

Did anyone's DS have a reaction to this shot??

Jacob had his last Friday and since last night he has had temperature. The highest it has peaked is 103.2.. Thank god for motrin which has brought his temp down.

I will be calling my doc in the am although my brother seems to think it is not a reaction from this shot with a temp that high..



UPDATE: went to the doc this morning, thinks JAcob has a virus not a reaction to the vaccine-- said hemight have temperatrue for the next few days.. When he has reg temp for 24 hrs then he can go out

With the MMR shot most reactions to it are 1-2 weeks after the vaccination. It could be a minor reaction, has he had any other odd behavior?

No reactions here. But the ped did say he may have a reaction to the MMR , 10-14 days afer the shot which would consist of a rash and/or low grade fever. He never said anything of 103.

He hasn't been himself today and yesterday he was very cranky...

and my doc said low grade fever too...

rightnow he is sleeping for the night. I will take his temp in the am and call the doc..

When Sammy had his MMR he got a reaction 10 days later - fever and a rash
