Protecting dark wood furniture..
We purchased expresso color furniture and I wanted to protect it from scratches and dust.
Can anyone suggest something? I was thinking of a placemat to put under the picture frames, decorations ,etc that are on the dresser. I have the Nautica William crib bedding and would love to have something that would go with it.

Good idea! I didn't think about a fabric napkin. Thanks!

Re: Protecting dark wood furniture..
You could paint the furniture with a layer of polyeurethane. You can get it at Loews or Home Depot. It's a really easy to use and dries very quickly. It adds extra shine and an extra coat of protection.

I have espresso furniture too... i bought some fabric by the yard and used it to make a lampshade and a placemat for the top of baby's dresser.
you can kind of see it here, but not really.
If you want something to match your bedding exactly, buy an extra crib sheet in the pattern and make a placemat out of it!
