Protein Powder/ Working Out
I have always worked out but with this whole IF thing I feel like I have been slacking off. I still worked out but not as hard. Therefore I have gained 10lbs in a year.
I joined a new gym that is amazing. I have been working out 5 days a week. If you work out, do you take it easier during the 2ww? Are there exercises you avoid? I'm afraid to run so been sticking to the ellipticals.
I had my initial consultation at the gym and the lady said I don't eat enough Protein and suggested using protein powder in a shake with fruit every day. I was looking up powders and it seems like they all have soy lechithin in them. I have heard soy is not good for fertility. Any ideas on if it would be okay to have it while doing IF treatments? If you use protein powder which one do you use and why? I am avoiding ones with artificial sweeteners. Any other health supplements that you take?
Thanks.

Re: Protein Powder/ Working Out
Hmmm- I never heard that. I typically use a whey protein powder anyway. I like Designer whey because I think they taste the best out of alot of others. As of now, there's nothing specifically that I avoid in the gym. I've consulted with my RE about it and she doesn't think there's any need to scale back just yet. Exercise can be very beneficial for you as well since it can help de-stress you. Good luck!!

Thanks for the info. I'll look that protein powder up. I also started Yoga to destress.

Protein Powder/ Working Out
Poster in hiding here and battled with IF for over a year...If you are looking for something with no additives and strickly Whey Protein (you'd want whey i'm thinking) tri BiPro - not the best tasting but if you are mixing it w/fruit anyways, it will mask the taste. Definitely agree on the no soy!

Re: Protein Powder/ Working Out
I went through this and looked all over for one that didn't have the additive of soy in it and Blue Bonnets Whey has no soy lechitin.

Thanks for looking. I came up with Blue Bonnet also. Then I read reviews and people were complaining on Amazon that it now has soy in it. I was ready to order that one....
