protein shake recipe
anyone have one?
I am thinking about it for breakfast during the week. I am having a hard time sitting to eat something filling and by lunch I am hungry. I don't want a high calorie one. I am willing to make it from ingredients (not from a powder)

Re: protein shake recipe
Here's one:
1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1 Tbs fat free sugar free cheesecake pudding mix (dry) 1 Cup COLD water 4 frozen strawberries
Throw in blender and blend (you can add ice cubes to make it thicker).

Should just be at the supermarket (I don't live in NY, so I'm not much help!). You can try other flavors too if you can't find the cheesecake one.

I'm not in NY either (I'm in MD). But I'll look the next time I'm there. I had the sugar free fat free pistatio flavor and that one was a little gross.

Yeah, I love pistachios, but I'm not sure I'd be into pistachio pudding!

Re: protein shake recipe
Nature's Way is the powder I used to use. I used to have a shake a day (milk, powder, frozen banana, sometimes even chilled coffee and coffee ice cubes). However, my chin broke out a lot from it.

Re: protein shake recipe
One more question:
Can you make a protein shake for dessert? Or is it just for after a workout?

It's called Substance WPI. I got it at a fitness expo, so I don't think you'll be able to find it in a store.

You don't have to have a shake after a workout, but that's when most people drink them because you want to get protein in you to help repair muscle fibers. But if you want to eat it as a dessert, that's fine too.

Re: protein shake recipe
yeah I don't have the time to make eggs or sit and eat cereal for breakfast, but I have about a 20min drive to work, so I wanted to try a protein shake for a breakfast alternative.
So i am looking to see if others use anything before I take a trip to trader joes or something.
