Provera ladies
before BC I was pretty regular. I came off BC at the end of August, had my end of the placebo week AF and then my first natural AF came 35 days later. My dr told me they consider anything 28-35 days a regular cycle.
Anyway, after my first natural AF in October, I didn't get AF again, until I finished my first (and hopefully last) round of Provera this week.
My question is this...
Since I have no frame of reference anymore about my cycle and provided I don't get PG this month after my first round of Clomid, (I'm not counting on it, although it would be awesome!) How many days past 35 days do I wait to refill my only refill of Provera?
I know I'm worrying ahead of myself, but that's just what I do.
TIA

Re: Provera ladies
I plan to ask this when I go for my blood test on the 29th. I did not get a natural period AT ALL after going off the pill so I am really unsure.

Re: Provera ladies
I'm not sure if I'm understanding your question correctly.
I probably would just fill it to have it handy in case I needed it.
In fact, I think that's what I did when I was going through similar stuff last year.
Does that answer your question?
ETA:
Love to see one round of Clomid work for you!!!

Re: Provera ladies
Jenn - I'd love to know what your doctor tells you!
Lauren - Thanks!
I guess what I'm asking is at what CD do I take the Provera next month? How will I know that AF is NOT coming and that I will need to take it again?
You have FM also....

Re: Provera ladies
Are you temping and charting? If so, then if you don't get AF 15 days after ovulation, you should take the Provera. The key is to know when and if you ovulate. In your case, I would definitely be charting. When I was on clomid my GYN asked me to chart and if I didn't get PG in three cycles to bring him the charts. Now, if you don't ovulate by CD 22 or 23 you are going to need a higher dose of Clomid to get you to ovulate. This means you should get a higher dose of Clomid and start taking the Provera probably around CD30. I have a friend who ovulates on 50mg of Clomid a day, for me it took 100 mg.
Hope this is clear. Also, even if you didn't start charting yet, you can still start - if you are still in AF or just started taking clomid you can figure out what your first CD was and just don't put any temps in for the first few days, you won't ovulate until at least CD14 so as long as you have a few days temps beforehand, you will see a clear thermal shift.

Thanks so much! I am not temping right now. I'm currently on CD4 and will start 100mg of Clomid tomorrow CD5 as instructed by my GYN. She told me to start using OPKs on CD10.

Re: Provera ladies
Just be aware that you may never get a clear reading on the OPK because you may not ovulate, although you should on 100mg. Also, be prepared to use a lot of OPK's, no matter how much Clomid I took I didn't ovulate until CD21 or 22 so you may be using 12 -14 OPK sticks.
