PSA - mammograms

I'm not sure if I'm the only lugnut that missed the memo on this...but just in case I'm not -

women should get a baseline mammogram at age 35.
It's really important.

I didn't know that - thought that I just had to start going yearly at age 40. I go for an annual physical with my PCP and one with my GYN and neither one mentioned it to me.

Needless to say, I went for my baseline recently and had a little scare. All is well but I've spent the last few weeks wishing I'd gotten the baseline at 35.

Thanks for posting this. I'm a big advocate of this. I got my first baseline at 36. I had a scare too but all is well.

Ladies-please go get it done. The best way to cure breast cancer is through early detection.

It doesn't really hurt, but it's uncomfortable. Make your apppointment today if you haven't already.
