PSA for parents of little girls
PLEASE PLEASE be careful with using hair bows, barrettes, etc. This morning, my DH had to pry my DD's mouth open because she had taken the barrette out of her hair and shoved the entire thing into her mouth. This was one of those very tight clamping barrettes too. If we hadn't been watching, who knows what would have happened.
I think we are done with barrettes for DD now! Please be careful ladies!

I am so glad that your daughter is ok. For the reason you posted I always removed my daughter's clips when she was sleeping.

Re: PSA for parents of little girls
Thank God she's ok.
Yeah, I don't do them for this reason. She also puts everything in her mouth. She once had my necklace in her mouth, I was holding her and didn't notice due to the angle I have enough to do watching both of them so no bows or barrettes for us for a while.

I have often thought about that, so the No Slippy's are gone. Thank you for the PSA!

Re: PSA for parents of little girls
I always worry about this so I rarely put anything in her hair. I take everything out before I put her down to sleep and never put anything in when she is not around me (day care included). Thanks for posting.

Re: PSA for parents of little girls
this is such a worry of mine :( My little girl has really long hair and I am afraid to have her use a clip even when she's up b/c everything is going right into her mouth - sooo scary

Re: PSA for parents of little girls
DD hardly ever lets me put them in so maybe she knows better than me. I am thankful, though, that when I DO get them in, if she pulls one out, she gives it to me. She doesn't put them in her mouth.
Glad all is okay with your DD.

Re: PSA for parents of little girls
I use to live in absolute fear of this and delayed hair clips/bows for exactly this reason.
