PSA: for the mommies who use Pulmicort!
If you are not aware of it, there is now a generic version of Pulmicort for the nebulizer that just came out on the market (it was approved by our pediatric pulmonologist).
And it's SOOOO much cheaper.
With our insurance it was $50 per box (30 day supply), now we paid $20 for 60 day supply.
ETA: Just wanted to *** that those cost are with OUR insurance. It might be different for you. Still, it is significantly cheaper.

The box just says Budesonide (which is the inhalation suspension).

Re: PSA: for the mommies who use Pulmicort!
I know! They just gave it to me last time! It only costs me $7 now!!!! If only they'd do that for the Xopenex (albuterol)...that's $50 per refill.

Yeah they haven't come out with a generic version of Xopenex. The Albuterol is cheap but it has side effects that the Xopenex doesn't.

I am the only one buying DuoNeb? We use to have albuterol, which wasn't bad at all to pay for...this DuoNeb sucks!

No we use Pulmicort as a preventive and Xopenex in case of wheezing.

DuoNeb is a combo if Albuterol and Atrovent. You should be able to get them separate and they each have a generic version.

Yes, us too! I realized I made a typo. I meant 180 day supply not 60 day supply for $20.

I called pharm, he confirmed it and is ordering some in for me. Prescrib says no generic, but I left message for dr saying we are switching.

I was so excited that I HAD TO post and share the news. I mean, we all know how expensive this stuff is and I knew a few of us here were buying it. We all share our news on sales in stores. How could not I share this HUGE saving with you girls?
That's why I love posting here too. I am glad a few of you saw my post and would benefit too.
