PSA on hair color/highlights for brunettes

every summer I highlight and then my hair becomes a disaster so I stop and cover the highlights up. This time I just covered my roots with perm color and did a glaze all over with a protein boost.

2 months later I just went in and did just the glaze with a protein boost. I have what looks like deep rich caramelly choco brown with natural looking contrasts of the highlights. Sorry, no pic but I thought I would post a less expensive and less annoying way to get over summer highlights for darker haired beauties.

My hair is fine and starts to break if I highlight too much.

btw-I go to Cactus in Plainview.
