PSA! PayPal email "spoofing" and "phishing"
last night I got an email from PayPal telling me that an email address has been added to my account and then said that if I did not authorize this to click on a link that was provided.
GOOD THING I did NOT click on the link. I reported to PayPal via the customer service link on their website and it was in fact fraudulent!
If I had clicked on that link, which would then prompt me to log in, they would have stolen my PayPal password
I got a response today from PayPal telling me that whenever they contact me they always start the email with "Dear ______" (first and last name). if you get an email that does not use your first & last name, it's fake!
so be careful!

Wow that is great advice..Thanks for the heads up.
Also just know that any good spammer/phisher can create an email that populates your first &/or last name. If you see anything with a link you should forward it back to the company that sent it through their website. (Most company sites have SPAM or fraud links on their site). This way it can all be verified before clicking.

I got one like that too. Something about an unfamiliar IP trying to login.
