PSA: The Curtain Store in Massapequa
I just found out from my Mom that "The Curtain Store" in Massapequa has been "Seized by State of NY" for "None Payment of Back Taxes".

OMG I ordered special order curtains there a year ago and never picked them up. I was actually going to see if they still had them or re-order them this weekend. LOL
My mom will be so upset! She was in there like once a month (she has a curtain addiction haha)

yeah, my mom is pretty upset about it too. She had shopped there for years and also has an addiction to curtains.

I ran a little check and sure enough, The Curtain Store filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy just yesterday. I assume they will be allowed to reopen at some point and operate while they reorganize. This could even change their prices.
I was long overdue for curtains and I do not like any of the other places.

I think that the store you might be thinking of is Country Curtains, which is a totally different entity. One of my rooms has great curtains from there but I usually found that The Curtain Store had more to go with my type of decor.
Has anyone passed by The Curtain Store? I would love to find out if they are operating again. When I get a chance I will see if anything new is posted with the bankruptcy court.
I was waiting until the Spring or Summer to get curtains that I wanted from The Curtain Store. If they are closed for good then I hope to find something at Country Curtains and I will probably go there more in the future.
