what part of PR would you recomend to stay in?

Well San Juan is the obvious one. Its large, lots of tourists, lots of things to do..i.e. Old San Juan, El Morro, shopping, casino......
To the east is Fajardo...a lot more quiet and less tourists...still very beautiful. I recommend staying at El Conquistador.
West of San Juan I would stay in Isabela. A little mountainous...right on the water...very relaxing and gorgeous! There is like a bed and breakfast there called Villa Montana...very quaint and lovely.
Nothing is far in that little island, though.

We stayed in San Juan. There are lots of nice hotels to stay in, casinos, beaches, etc. We went into Old San Juan twice while we were there too.

see, everyone tells me to NOT go to san juan.
vieques (sp?) is apparently the new spot to go???
but my sil recomends Rincon
all i know is i want the carribean water, not the atlantic

Ditto that! Love the El San Juan and its the perfect place to go for a long weekend! Close to airport = you don't need a car.
Going to Rincon on the west coast soon - I hear its beautiful!

Old San Juan is great and quaint.
I love Rincon! It is in the western part of the island and a quiet small town area with awesome beaches and great surfing.
