Puffy Eye/Allergic Reaction Maybe??
Over the last 24 hours or so-- I have had some kind of reaction or something to my right eye. The area below my eye and my eye lid are extremely itchy and my eye is swollen and puffy. It does not feel like I have anything in it-- it's more that the skin around my eyes (my left eye is starting to act up now too) is making me uncomfortable.
The itchiness I can deal with-- it's the puffiness that I really need to take care of. I start a new job tomorrow and of course I want to look my best-- and puffy eyes is not the way to do it!
I have also been sleeping TERRIBLY and this may be a result of being overtired, but, I have been tired before and never had this.
I was planning on taking an eye bath of warm water & salt to disinfect anything that's in there and taking some Benedryl-- anyone have any suggestions as to what to do to take of this???

That's how the dry skin patches around my eyes get started. I usually smooth on a heavy moisturizer, and top it with Vaseline to keep the moisture in, and sleep like that.
I've had dry skin my whole life, and that's how it always starts out for me.
Try a compress for the puffiness first, then moisturize.

I would definitely try the benadryl first and maybe put a slice of cucumber on your eye to relieve some of the puffiness.
Maybe a cool washcloth may help. I would be a little nervous that the salt may hurt a little.
GL& feel better

Same here! I find that peroxide in acne medications makes it flare up. Cortizone cream helps too.
