Pug owners...(updated)

Is anyone's pug blind? My mom's pug has had her head tilted for 2 days and is walking into walls and tipping overChat Icon

Her eye looks all cloddy. She is going to the vet Wed. Did anyone else have this problem?

Re: Pug owners...

My pugs don't have this...but with the head tilt, I'd be concerned about potential neurological problems, or ear infection.

Could still be an eye prob., I'm glad your mom's dog will be seeing a vet soon.

Please keep us posted Chat Icon

Re: Pug owners...

Ditto what Kathy said. Also Pugs can have problems with their eyes b/c they protrude, and I forgot what the name of the condition is but it is essentially a build-up of fluid around the eye. Please let us know what your vet says.

Well, they found out she has some infection that swells the brain. The vet said it is rare in dogs as young as her (7yrs old). They put her on all these medicines and it seems to have started to work already.

I feel so bad for herChat Icon
