Pumpkin Picking with your Dog

We'd are going out east for pumpkin picking tomorrow and were hoping that we would be able to bring our dog with us. She's well trained and we would of course keep her on a leash the whole time.

Does anyone know of any farm out east that is dog friendly? I'd hate to leave her locked up in the house all day on the weekend.

Please don't bring her...I haven't been to a farm yet that allows dogs. There are too many risk factors, so they don't allow it at all.
We took Misty to get a Christmas tree last year and had to get the first tree we saw cuz we couldn't let her out of the car.

We definitely won't bring her unless we know beforehand she could get out of the car and walk around with us.

I guess pumpkin picking is not a doggy friendly activity. Chat Icon

We were out East today beyond the Outlets to do some wine tasting, and we found Helen's Farm, and there were people out there pumpkin picking with us that had dogs. There were even dogs at the wine tastings.

My friend brought her dogs to Stakey's (or something like that) in Riverhead. They could go into the pumpkin fields but not the corn maze.

There was a place ALL the way out East we went to last year. It was near a farm where people apple pick. I want to say it was like Exit 68. Anyways, we didn't bring Char thinking she wouldn't be allowed but turns out, when we got there, tons of people had their dogs.

I have to say this thread was an educationChat Icon
We couldn't bring Misty to any of the Christmas tree farms - obviously pumpkin picking is a whole different story.

We took Ebony to a place in Wading River to get our Christmas tree -- we picked the one he peed on!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

He was allowed on the hayride and to run around the tree farm...

PS Scout will go trick-or-treating with me and Alex this year. Alex will be a ladybug, me a butterfly, and Scout a bumble bee! I want DH to be a spider but he won't even get home until late.

Yeah... that was his last Christmas...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

As far as ToTing -- we will see how it goes. People freak when they see a big black dog Chat Icon. We may just go to the few closest neighbors with him, then leave him home when we venture further down the block where people don't know him.
