Re: pupps relief ?
I have PUPPP's ... it is an alergic reaction to yourt skin stretching. It mainly starts with a stretch mark. Fluid fills the 'dent' the stretch mark makes and it becomes inflamed. It then creates a rash that spreads throughout your entire body ... I had it really bad. I still have it but very very mild compared to what it was.
Get yourself to a dermotoligst ASAP and get some Prednisone pills (I was on 30mg per day). They are safe for the baby and it really attacked the rash and helped me tremendously.
In addition to the steriod, there are some things you can do to sooth and relieve the itch.
Buy Grandpa's Pine Tar Oil Soap. Take a luke warm shower, lather with the soap, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse with cool water (as cool as you can). Then rub Jason's Organic Witch Vera Gel all over. It is a combo or Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera. Very cool and soothing.
Once you start to feel better and your skin dries out a bit (1-2 weeks), use Alba Botanica Very Emoillient Unscented Lotion to moisturize. I couldn't use any moisturizer the first 2 weeks at all. My skin was that bad.
You can buy all this stuff at www.drugstore.com
Use lots and lots of ICE PACKS --- buy a ton of them to keep around. Also Caladryl Lotion and Aveeno Oatmeal baths were good too.
I rotated everything. It is awful.
Call your OB doctor, cry, call your dermotologist and cry ... make them take you seriously. Many people feel as if "oh it's just a rash" ... bull&hit - it is the absolute worst iych to go through. I thought I was going to lose my mind from the lack of sleep, from the itch, from the pain ...

Re: pupps relief ?
I have this as well and have not been put on prednisone. Apparently I have a "mild" case. In the beginning they only let me put on Benadryl cream or Cortisone cream (I found the benadryl worked better) Last week I saw a dermatologist and he gave me a prescription cream which has helped a lot more. Aveeno oatmeal baths were heaven-I highly recommend that!
