Puppy Pit Bull found in Franklin Square area
If any one is missing or knows anyone who lost there puppy. He was found on the stoop of my sisters IL's house. She is keeping him at her house but really cant keep him.. Has 2 cats and she icould never handle a dog. She is not candidate to be a dog owner. She contacted town of hempstead, 1 vet in west hempstead and 2 in Franklin Square. If we bring him to a shelter he will be killed in 7 days.. Please if you can help me in anyway I would be si grateful..

I said the same thing but when you see him in person its not he is a bull terrier.. So cute!! My Sister was actually thinking of trying to keep him if no one claims him but he showed signs of food aggression already 4 mos old very upsetting... But I know she needs a different kind of breed for her family.. He is really adorable.

So at 10 pm last night we drove him over to the town of hempstead and it is a NO KILL !!!! It was very very hard and sad t do this.. I held him and prayed the whole ride there.. The night guard there was a wonderful woman who made us feel so good.. She said this dog will be adopted in a minute here!! They do heavy screening to all the people who come in and we dont have to worry he will be put in a safe home. But I still have doubts and guilt and I couldnt sleep a wink last night.. They keep him for 5 days to wait for the owner,, If no one claims him he can be adopted.. I am so sick over this

Re: Puppy Pit Bull found in Franklin Square area
This is what the woman told me.. And you also put a "no kill" on the paper work when you drop them off.. You get a case # as well.. I am calling in 7 days to see if he got adopted,.. I guess you can request a be put down there if its has attacked or shows bad aggression Also its $40 to bring your old sick dog there to have him put to sleep if you cant afford the vet to do it.. so freakin heart wrenching. I made the mistake to go in the back to see all the dogs.. 90% Pit Bulls or Pit bull mixes.. I am so upset Goobster I cant think straight today,, I dont know what the helll possesed me to look back there but I did and it was a huge mistake. I feel likw I want to volunteer there.
ETA: I forgot to tell you that my sister has twins and they were HYSTERICAL crying over this.. They loved the dog so much,, they are 9 years old,, When we got back one of them was in her bed unconsolable.. Now she promised to get them another dog .. So she is in touch with a Shitzu rescue and has a 1 yr old she has her eye on. She was so afraid of the other dog she could have never kept him. so this may be much better for her family.. and 2 cats..
I cant believe that someone would just abandon a little baby puppy like this.. He was afraid to go up and down stairs so we know someone left him on the stoop that had stairs to go up them.. and his collar was already embeded into his neck This is just digraceful to me. Please pray he get adopted right away so he doesnt spend too much time in that terrible place.

OMG. I am in tears with you....so sad....
what do you mean his collar was embedded in his neck? And to see all those pitbulls, it's heartbreaking....I feel so bad for them but i do think your sister did the right thing. Pitbulls are not right for everyone/every family....
OMG, to put down your dog there....so sad.
