Pur water filter
The one that you attach to the faucet...anyone have one? How does the water taste? I have not drank regular tap water since I was very young and it tastes weird to me now. However, buying bottled water all the time is a bit of a PITA. If it really purifies the water, then it will be worth it. Tap water tastes so metallic to me now that I would rather not drink any water, and I hardly drink water as is.

Re: Pur water filter
DH installed one two weeks after we moved in. He LOVES it. I can't tell the difference, but I only buy bottled water when I'm out shopping and I'm dying of thirst.

Re: Pur water filter
We have one, installed about 2 weeks ago also. Maybe the taste is slightly better, though I can't tell a big difference myself.

Re: Pur water filter
well, we have a britta pitcher, and it does get rid of that slight 'pipe' taste in the water... it's also handy becuase the water is in the frige, and very cold

Re: Pur water filter
I must be picky b/c even out of the filter I think the water tastes like poo
I know what you mean though, I hate buying bottled water...such a waste.
My DH and I have been looking into getting water delivered from Poland Springs. It's 30/month and the dispensor is free...check it out: http://delivery.polandspring.com/delivery/home/default.aspx??email=

We get PS water delivered. I find I drink so much more now that we always have hot or cold water on hand w/ the dispenser.
However, I have the PUR on my sink for boiling pasta etc and I find the water tastes a LOT better. It was so horrible before, that you just could not even use it for even tea or coffee.
