push pals for giving birth

has anyone used these for birth or know of anyone who has? is it worth buying?

I held on under my knees and a nurse helped me keep one leg up while DH helped on the other side. I'd say it's a waste of money, IMO.

I agree. If you plan on delivering at a hospital, those will not be needed.

i ve seen them in like every preganancy magazine, yes im delivering at a hospital just curious if anyone has used them.

I have to say that for some reason these made me laugh, in a hospital the nurses and DH hold under your knees. This wouldn't be necessary...IMO

They made me laugh too - I am not sure why - but they did. I had handles on my bed that I held on to - I don't think you need them.

DH held one leg and my doula held the other. I don't know if I would have had the energy even with those to hold my legs up. I was pretty wiped out by the time it came to pushing.

i dont think i would use them either.. i didnt give birth but i wa sin the labor room with my ssiter and held one leg and her dh held the other. i dont think at that point she would even want those things on her!

I laughed at these too.

No offense, I think the nurses and doctor would laugh someone out of the delivery room if they said wait, let me strap these things on. Also, once you have an epidural, you can't even feel your legs so I can't imagine getting them on.

The bed I was in had handles that I used...and those things look uncomfortable!
