Put your problems in the pot
If your put your problems in a pot with everyone elses, would you take yours right back?
Sometimes I get so frustrated with life, then I remember one time a girl said that to me.
She lost her mother when she was 5 and her father when she was 7.
She was like, Jan, lets put our problems in the pot, you will take yours right back out and go running.
Do you think that is the case?
With me it definitely is.

Re: Put your problems in the pot
Definitely, no matter how down i am or what I'm going through I always think that other people have it worse than i do and it put things back in perspective for me. That's such a sweet story especially coming from a little girl

Re: Put your problems in the pot
It took me a long time to see it that way.
I used to think why do all these things happen to me... but now I look at it as at leaset I am alive (and healthy) to have these things happen to me....

I know people do have worse things that I am faced with. I try to remind me of that when I do get down

Re: Put your problems in the pot
When I think the grass is greener on the other side............................the other side shows me that it isn't.
Look at all those people in New Orleans....they have nothing and now they have nothing of nothing. What about the good people in the world who have fatal diseases, while the murderers, rapists and child molesters live well into their old age. Damn...........how unfair life is somethings.

Re: Put your problems in the pot
I have to live my life like that. I'm not the healthiest person in the world and I've had a lot to deal with in the past 15 years so when something "else" is wrong with my heath I have to think of people that are worse off than me... it gets me through my pain.

I am going to cut this out and put it on the refrigerator!
When I complain, I always stop myself and think that someone else is worse off. DH the total opposite.
Last night he was complaining about being stuck in traffic on the Belt. I had to say "well at least your not like those poor people stuck in traffic in Texas". It didn't go over very well, as usual. I think I may take it to the extreme with him, but sometimes he acts like he's the only one in the world with problems.
