Putting on shoes and socks.

I'm in week 35 and still having no problem putting on my shoes and socks.

If you had problems doing it when did it start?

Re: Putting on shoes and socks.

Good for you!!!

Luckily, I had a laid back job on clothing, so I've been wearing sandals for a few months now. My ankles started swelling around my sneakers around week 25.

Re: Putting on shoes and socks.

Well, considering I have exactly 2 pairs of shoes that fit me at this moment and they are both sandals, I wouldnt even know if I could do it or not.

Whats even funnier is that I now have to sit down to put my underwear on because I almost killed myself putting them on the other day. I cant bend down that far!

Re: Putting on shoes and socks.

Im 34 weeks and so far been blessed with no real swelling so my shoes and socks fit fine BUT getting them on - that is another story - it is so hard to bend over so forget about that but even sitting and lifting my legs is difficult with my belly! i still put them on but it sure isn't as easy these days...in fact, neither is putting on pants and underwear Chat Icon

I am 35 weeks and last week I went to buckle a pair of shoes before work and I couldn't breathe! My lungs were so compressed I had to stop breathing to put on my shoes!! How sad.

Re: Putting on shoes and socks.

I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and just this week started to have to really work at putting socks on. The shoes are no problem, I just slip into them, but socks and sneakers are an issue (not the fit so much as bending down to get them on).

Re: Putting on shoes and socks.

Pretty funny that you posted this.

Last night I went to put sneakers and socks on for the first time in a while and I had to struggle! I felt like I had to put them on from a very funny angle to get at them at all... will be 35 weeks Saturday.

This tummy is really starting to get in the way!
